Starcraft 2 singleplayer Alternate Mission – Safe Haven part 1

In my campaign playthrough, I chose to purify the colony instead of save them because i needed protoss research points, but i'm uploading the "Alternate ending" video, Safe Haven... this is the mission you get if you chose to save the colony.

Is it possible to get the zerg research points from the other mission as well? I chose to side with the protoss the first time and now that i look on my list of missions i saw this one avaialable, so i did it but i cannot find out how to get the 3/3 zerg research points. there isnt a zerg unit on the map!
